Construction :
Stator Frame : made of rolled steel shell to give low weight which is the basic requirement of a small motor. Machined to give accurate alignment of bearings.
Endshields : are made of cast iron or aluminium. Accurately spigotted to ensure concentric air gap, they are designed for the toughest usage conditions.
Core : Both stator and rotor cores are of high quality low-loss silicon steel laminations which are hydraulically pressed.
Stator winding : of super enamelled high quality copper wire impregnated with acid proof thermosetting varnish. This gives high resistance, to mechanical vibrations and humidity levels.
Rotor : of die cast aluminium with skewed slots to produce smooth torque and running The rotor is dynamically balanced for the most demanding of applications.
Bearings : fitted on a shaft made of high grade mild steel The ball bearings are grease lubricated. For applications demanding low noise levels sleeve bearings can be offered.
O.C.Switch : The switch is of proven design and is activated by a centrifugal mechanism mounted on the rotor shaft to ensure maximum accelerating torque. Each motor is subjected to repeated cycle test to ensure lowest malfunctioning.
Enclosures : Four types of standard enclosures offered DP, TE, TEFC, TE (Air-over-motor)
Quality : To ensure excellent quality and reliability we carry out IN-HOUSE testing at each and every stage of product manufacture. The ultimate product is fully type tested to ensure that the performance conforms to IS-996; BS 5000 : part 11; NEMA MG 1 and other international standards.
WARRANTY  :
ROHINI motors are covered under a warranty for 12 months from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects.

The motor is to be erected on a rigid foundation and the alignment should be accurate. When direct coupled, a flexible coupling should always be used. The motor should be erected in an atmosphere protected from dust, moisture or flames-which will not seriously interfere with the operation of
